Vision. College of Engineering as the leader of quality engineering education and research in the region.
Mission.Provide quality instructions, conduct relevant research and foster community engagement that produce highly competent engineering graduates who contribute to society.
The Current BSCE Program based on CMO 29, s. 2012 can be completed in five years that includes all the academics courses and one summer for the practicum. Academic courses cover all mathematics and basic engineering courses common to all engineering programs, professional courses, four spcialization subjects in structural and geotechnical design, and four unique subjects in building design with in-depth discussion on the important topics on building design and constructions.
The curriculum is designed to train students to become Civil Engineers that are competent in the application of mathematics to solve complex engineering problems, design various engineering systems, leaders in their own respective fields of specialization, and a member and contributor to betterment of the society.
There will be a new BSCE Curriculum by AY 2018-2019 as a result of the Philippine education reform that pushes higher education institutions to produce highly competentand globally competitive graduates. One of the major changes is the introduction of the specialization fields that include Structural Engineering(STE), Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Construction Engineering and Management. Another significant change is that the BSCE program can be completed in four years with one summer for practicum. The adoption of the new BSCE curriculum is on-going but BSCE major in Structural Engineering(STE) will surely offered.
Program Educational Objectives(PEOs) are statements that describe the attributes, career and professional accomplishments of the graduates of the BSCE programs 3 to 5 years after graduation. These statements were formulated based on the thrusts of the school stated in its mission statement. The following are the PEOs of the BSCE program of SEAIT:
Graduates will demonstrate a high level of competency in any of the specialized fields of civil engineering that is relevant to the needs of the society
Graduates will continue professional development by obtaining professional licensure or certifications, and pursue graduate education and research in any civil engineering field.
Graduates will be active in service and engage in activities that contribute to professional and community development.
Program Outcomes (POs) are statemets that describe the attributes(in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitude) that we want our graduates to obtain upon graduation. These were adopted from the Article IV Section 6.2 of CMO 92, s. 2017, consistent with the student outcomes required by the Washington Accord.
