SEAITis now a Mikrotik Academy

MikroTik is a Latvian company which produces networking equipment and software for data network management purposes, internationally known for its RouterOS and RouterBOARD brands. .

MikroTik Academy is a program of MikroTik for universities, colleges, and other educational institutions. With the demand for network engineers with expertise in MikroTik products constantly increasing, the MikroTik Academy program enables these educational institutions to organize MikroTik Classes using RouterOS as a learning tool. Students may obtain internationally recognized certificates (MTCNA) that confirm their academic credentials.

Last December 7-13, 2018, South East Asian Institute of Technology, Inc. produced two MikroTik Certified Trainers after a 6-days MikroTik Academy Trainer’s Bootcamp. Obtaining a minimum of 75 percent (75%) in MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) and in either MikroTik Certified Router Engineer (MTCRE) or MikroTik Certified User Management Engineer (MTCUME) is a requirement to qualify as a MikroTik Academy Trainer. For the academic institution to qualify as a MikroTik Academy, it needs at least one full-time academic employee who is a certified MikroTik Academy Trainer. South East Asian Institute of Technology, Inc is now one of the certified MikroTik Academy in the Philippines.

Furthermore, the students were introduced to varies operations of the offices in the school with a briefing on their respective personnel, functions, regulations and policies.

The Bootcamp was facilitated by Engr. Roy Pamitalan, a Mikrotik Certified Trainer. The certified trainers from South East Asian Institute of Technology, Inc are faculty members from the College of Information Communication Technology (CICT) – Reginald S. Prudente, MIT, and Kenmark T. Celis.
